Ora, basandosi sul successo e sull\u2019affidabilit\u00e0 comprovata delle batterie agli ioni di litio, molte aziende hanno sviluppato celle di formato pi\u00f9 grande per l\u2019uso in applicazioni di accumulo di energia. Questi rack sono alloggiati in container o edifici appositamente costruiti e sono collegati alla rete elettrica tramite inverter (che trasformano l\u2019elettricit\u00e0 DC in AC e viceversa).
