The project reached commercial operation in early 2013 and was <a href=\"http:\/\/stage.recurrentenergy.com\/press-release\/nrg-solar-achieves-commercial-operation-of-two-solar-pv-projects-in-california-developed-by-recurrent-energy\/\">acquired by NRG Solar<\/a> during the same timeframe. The electricity generated from this project, will be delivered to Southern California Edison (SCE) through a 20-year PPA agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TA-High Desert is located on an approximately 200 acre plot of flat, vacant desert scrub land and generates enough electricity in one year to power approximately 5,200 average California homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cCredit goes to Recurrent Energy for developing assets of the quality that the Kansas South and TA-High Desert projects represent.
