Science Park BESS, at 100 MW / 286 MWh, is a flagship utility-scale energy storage project for Canadian Solar and represents an important milestone in the company’s growth across the Taiwanese renewable energy market. Located in Douliu City, Yunlin County, the project commissioned in 2025 and has been delivering critical grid ancillary services. By utilizing advanced E-dReg capabilities for frequency management and peak shaving, the facility ensures power reliability and optimizes energy distribution. This high-capacity system plays a vital role in stabilizing the local grid for greater renewable integration, contributing to Taiwan’s energy transition and strengthening Recurrent Energy’s operational presence in the APAC region.
