Hualien Meilun BESS, at 4 MW / 4 MWh, is a 100% Recurrent Energy-owned battery energy storage facility that marks another strategic milestone in the company’s expansion across Taiwan’s renewable energy market. Located in Meilun Industrial Park, Hualien City, the project has been operational since 2024 delivering critical grid ancillary services. By providing dynamic dReg frequency management, the facility rapidly balances electrical fluctuations to support regional grid reliability and industrial power quality. This operational asset plays an essential role in strengthening eastern Taiwan’s energy infrastructure, advancing the national energy transition, and reinforcing Recurrent Energy’s operational footprint in the APAC region.
