Yunlin BESS, at 20 MW / 20 MWh, is a key battery energy storage project for Recurrent Energy and represents an important milestone in the company’s growth across the Taiwanese renewable energy market. Recurrent Energy’s first BESS project in Taiwan is located in Dounan Township, Yunlin County, the facility has been in operation since 2023, delivering essential grid regulation services. By providing dynamic dReg frequency management, the system rapidly balances grid fluctuations and ensures continuous power stability. This operational project plays a vital role in supporting Taiwan’s grid resilience for greater renewable energy integration, reinforcing Recurrent Energy’s presence in the APAC region.
