Recurrent Energy Opens First International Office in Toronto, Canada

Office Will Support Canada and US East Region Business

TORONTO – SOLAR CANADA 2010 – (December 7, 2010) – Recurrent Energy, a leading solar project developer and generating company, today announced the opening of the company’s first international office in Toronto, Canada. The office will serve as the center for Recurrent Energy’s development activities in Canada and the US East Region.

Approximately a dozen employees will be based in the downtown Toronto office, which is located at 214 King Street West, and will focus on development, permitting and construction management. In April 2010, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) awarded contracts to Recurrent Energy for the most distributed solar power projects under the OPA’s Feed-in Tariff Program. The local Recurrent Energy team will provide on-the-ground support for the 149.5 MWac of Feed-in Tariff projects, in addition to development of additional solar power assets.

For the OPA FiT projects, the company expects to invest over $650 million CAN in solar modules; electrical equipment; steel and metal fabrication; and related services such as installation and project management.
